Lemon Stripe Scout Tee
Second make from my spring/summer sewing plans is a Scout tee with lemon print!
This was once a maxi dress, but since it got too loose on me, I re-fashioned it into a versatile woven T-shirt.
Pattern: Scout Tee by Grainline Studio (with sleeve variation pack)
Fabric: Cotton lawn from Japan
I used a short sleeve version from the sleeve variation pack. Though I ended up shortening the sleeve length, so the original cap sleeves might have been all I needed to achieve this look.
Next time, I’d like to try the cuffed short sleeve version!
The back hem is ever so slightly longer and creates gradual curve which I love!
This pattern has no bust nor back darts, a true simple woven T-shirt pattern, I’d say. It’s not oversized, but has enough ease to be comfortable.
I think I could have gone a size smaller. The shoulder width needed some adjustment since it came out a little too wide originally.
I also forgot to make adjustments for neck opening as this is a little too big for my preference. Next time I’ll be sure to make those adjustments, but over all, this version is breezy and light, and is great for a hot weather!
