Pink Floral Blouse: Butterick B6378

When I ordered this beautiful viscose poplin from Blackbird Fabrics, they said it was the last time for them to get this fabric restocked. So naturally I ordered a bit more than I actually needed to make this pink floral wrap dress in case I made some mistakes. Luckily I didn't, everything went smoothly, so I was left with some extra fabric.

You know what that means! That means I had just enough to make a cute little top. (Déjà vu? Check this article and this one.)

I used Butterick B6378, pullover top with shoulder gathers and v-neckline with a tie.

I used version A for sleeves and D for the tie and hem length. I had to make the bodice length a bit shorter because I was short on the left over fabric, but I'm not tall so it kind of worked out!

I'm really loving the style of this tie! It's a small pretty detail.

The back is quite simple. It's flowy and loose-fit around torso, a little more fitted around shoulders and upper back. (This top doesn't have any gathers or pleats on the upper back.)

High and low style is my favourite! It's great to pair with skinny jeans.
