Hermione's Everyday Socks
It's been a pretty hot summer so far here! (As some of you know, I'm not too thrilled about that...) During summer, I usually didn't knit so much before. But since I started knitting socks, summer is actually a great time to knit some socks!
This time, I picked a sock pattern that is very popular on Ravelry: Hermione's Everyday Socks by Erica Lueder. I can't believe some of the adorable sock patterns including this one are free!
The yarn I used is Take a Hike Sock by Flock Fibre Studio in colourway Masquerade. I love this colourway! It's deep blue base with some purple and emerald greens. It reminds me of deep ocean... so beautiful.
The stitch definition of this yarn is great too! I think I picked a perfect yarn for this pattern. I really like how it's simple yet interesting.
I really like this type of textured fabric for socks. It’s a simple repeat, so it’s pretty smooth to knit.
I knitted the heels as instructed on the pattern. They look cute and they fit just fine on my feet, but not "Oh my gosh! These heels are the best" good. If you know what I mean. There's nothing wrong with the pattern, just me being picky about the fit. So I might try a different heel next time. To be honest, I'm still on my journey to find a heel pattern and method that fit me the best.
Overall, I love my new socks! It's exactly how it's described in the pattern—cute, cozy, and practical.
