Emery Dress

I've read so many great reviews of Emery Dress pattern by Christine Haynes. I was excited to finally try it!

I really like using indie designers patterns because 1: patterns are printed on nice papers instead of tissues, 2: oftentimes they do online (free) sew along tutorials!

Emery dress is a classic fit and flare design. What I like about this particular pattern is that it comes with two sleeve options. A lot of fit and flare patterns are sleeveless, so this is great!

The optional collar and the waist bow are also pretty.

Update* They have extended their size range and Emery now comes in sizes 0 to 30! You can check out their size chart on the product page.

I changed the bodice to sleeveless and the skirt to a pleated one (instead of gathered.)

Although this pattern doesn’t show how to make it sleeveless, if you’ve made a sleeveless dress before, it’s not too complicated! Just a few small modifications are required.

I really like this print. It’s so beautiful and looks really great with this pattern!
